GOLF SANT VICENÇ

project_sing Description

Project Description

Golf Sant Vicens was developed in 2000 as a part of a mixed-use resort (residential and hotel) in a hilly piece of land 45 km north of Barcelona in the Maresme coast.

Pine trees, hills, creeks and severe elevation changes, together with the fact that the available land is crossed by Highway C-32, and other city roads, made this design a masterpiece on engineering solutions and golf design.

Our team was awarded the design contract for the golf course and the civil works for establishing the resort. We had to design and built three precast concrete tunnels, to allow the golf course cross over the roads, several green retaining walls, bridges for creeks crossings, and even the cart path became a considerable engineering effort to attain reasonable slopes and lengths.

The terrain is small (40 hectares) and elevation changes made us choose a strategic design laying out a short course (par 70, 5.004 meters) where accuracy is a must.

From the course you can enjoy awesome views of the Mediterranean sea.
